Morigaon Polytechnic was established in the year 2020 and is one of the five newly established polytechnic institutes in the state of Assam. The institute is located at Kachamari Pathar, to the north of Morigaon town in Morigaon district. It is situated approximately 3 km from Morigaon town and 26 km from Jagiroad railway station, with a travel time of about 10 minutes from the town.
