Morigaon Polytechnic Library

According to Rita Dove, the Library is an arena of possibility, opening both a window into the soul and a door onto the world. A library is a place where books and sources of information are stored, which make it easier for people to get access to them for various purposes. The library of Morigaon Polytechnic is enriched with more than 3000 volume of books including text books, reference books in the respective subjects and several numbers of reputed journals. It is also supports for accessing huge number of data repositories of e-resources.

Morigaon Polytechnic has National Digital Library of India (NDLI) Club Membership, which is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India through National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). The NDLI is a project under Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India. The objective is to collect and collate metadata and provide full text index from several national and international digital libraries, as well as other relevant sources. It is a digital repository containing textbooks, articles, videos, audio books, lectures, simulations, fiction and all other kinds of learning media. The NDLI provides free of cost access to many books in the Indian languages and English.

Also, all interested students, faculty members and employees of Morigaon Polytechnic can enroll themselves as members of Morigaon Polytechnic NDLI Club by visiting https://club.ndl.iitkgp.ac.in/sign-up, using their e-mail ID, obtaining the Passkey and Club Registration Number from the Librarian, Morigaon Polytechnic Library.

National Digital Library of India Club (NDLI Club) is an enabler of career progression for students, job seekers, researchers and learners. NDLI Clubs are set up in institutes and nodal bodies, and these Clubs conduct events to facilitate students to develop knowledge, skill and traits beyond regular curriculum which are essential for their progression in respective professional domain. The events may be either physical or virtual. Virtual events are web-based and are conducted through the NDLI Club portal. The reading/knowledge related events are organized at respective institute level or city/district/state/regional level or all-India level.

Development of knowledge, skill and traits needs access to varieties of learning resources. NDLI Club members can access a huge repository of free and open access learning resources, from anywhere and at any time, either through desktop PC or laptop or tablet or mobile. NDLI and NDLI Club are National Mission projects and part of Digital India Mission of the country. NDLI provides contents for all academic levels including lifetime learners, all disciplines and in most of the widely used Indian languages, to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world. NDLI and NDLI Club are services that are not just for some, but for all of India to learn, share, grow and democratize education in the country.
